SLACK News...

1/10/07
SLACK is not dead. We are still well and alive. And will be back soon!!
I know we have been gone for quite a while now, but many things have happened in the past year. We have been very busy at work writing all new material, slightly different than before, but totally kick ass. We are currently finishing up a 5 track demo of some new material. It's taken some time because we want to get these songs just right and have been very meticulous about it.

We have recently had some record label interest and this demo is specifically being done for that purpose. So hopefully you will be hearing alot more from us very soon. Once all the dust settles we look forward to performing live again also. So keep watching for us!!!

Old Updates

7/06/05
We are currently working on new material and will have more new shows booked every now and then. Still waiting for Wally's arm to heal up, but it's not going as quickly as he expected. We just recorded a song for another compilation CD. This time we did "I'm Just a Bill". The old School House Rock song. This comp CD is all remakes of Saturday morning cartoon songs. We'll let you know about release date, etc... Once we have enough new original material done we should be recording a new CD in the future.

3/15/05
Our Bass player Wally broke his arm, so we will have Matt Dillon as a temporary replacement for upcoming shows for the next 2 -3 months.
Some of you may remember Matt from when he played guitar for SLACK a couple of years ago. Matt also plays for the Sabbath tribute band SACK BLABBATH. Wally will be back with us A.S.A.P

1/15/05
Recently our drummer Dave Rucci left the band for personal reasons and we wish him all the best in whatever he does. Thanks for all the years and great drum work you gave us.

We already have a new drummer. We would like to welcome Jim Roe (ex-Incantation) into the band. He's doing an excellent job and we are already setting up new shows. The website will be updated with his Bio, etc.. soon.

We are still in the process of writing new material. There has been a few setbacks, but we are still forging ahead and look forward to recording the new stuff.

There will be a completely new website designed soon as well as many other things to be announced. Stay tuned!!!

So keep a watch on this page or join our mailing list to stay informed.

Our Mission

Formed amongst the cold, November winds of 1996, SLACK will stop at nothing to deprogram the brainwashed minds of the masses with their sonic, subliminal onslaught. Their carefully formulated psychedelic, hypno-dogma is disguised as in-your-face power-rock, in order to thoroughly permeate the "Sleep, consume, obey" unconsciousness of the entire X-Generation. SLACK has finished their fourth full length CD entitled "MOMENTS of CLARITY". This means that the soul arming, holy sound waves of SLACK are now PORTABLE!

Breaking free of media induced coma can't get any easier!
